DigiCULT is an IT organization with a focus on the areas of cultural heritage and tourism. The company takes ICT-enabled initiatives that aim to safeguard cultural heritage and activate people towards the establishment of heritage and the transmission of culture to next generations. To that end, DigiCULT is focused on the development of ICT software and the use of innovative digital tools aiming to enhance the relationship between tangible/intangible cultural heritage and education. The company was established with the mission to propel the educational potential of digital cultural heritage and improve individuals’ understanding in this area, by providing hands-on and experiential learning opportunities. With the promotion and establishment of culture and cultural heritage as our focal point, we design and develop digital tools taking into consideration the end users’ needs, always with the provision to create high-quality experiences. 

DigiCULT initiates activities are targeted at preservation and growth of tangible and intangible heritage with the use of ICT enabled solutions. The organization strives for an active media policy centralized in raising awareness of the value of cultural heritage. Furthermore, DigiCULT strengthens the sector and aims in guiding CH communities towards the utilization of digital solutions that can establish common European initiatives.

The company’s main activities focus on: 
  • Service DesignHaving understood the importance of service design and its impact on alternative forms of learning experiences, we create several solutions that serve this approach, starting from focusing on the users’ perspective and delivering a solution based on their needs.
  • Tangible Experiences - Tangible and intangible heritage experiences require different approaches for ensuring the active involvement of individuals through digital means. We experiment with solutions that can bridge the gap between the tangible aspects of cultural heritage and the virtual world.
  • Personalized CH Strategies - Communities rich in cultural and/or historical heritage and cultural heritage organizations are constantly facing critical decisions when seeking ways to make their “products” more appealing to the public. Our “product customization” approach supports the implementation of personalized strategies aiming to provide individuals with long-lasting cultural experiences. 
  • Gamified Engagement - Gamification elements are always providing innovative experiences and support the implementation of learning models differentiating from the traditional ones. We use Game-Based learning to foster knowledge dissemination and support individuals in the acquisition of new skills. Gamification learning provides new learning models which are very appropriate for communicating efficiently the concepts of cultural and historical heritage (tangible and intangible).
