Building Our Digital Ecosystem Introducing MINEART
MINEART is an Erasmus+ Cooperation Partnership in School Education that aims to transform art education for primary school children through innovative, digital, and game-based learning approaches. By combining cultural heritage, creativity, and Minecraft Education, the project introduces new ways for students to explore European art, identity, and shared values.
The project officially launched with the ambition to rethink how art education can be delivered in today's digital classrooms—making learning more engaging, inclusive, and experiential.
Project Progress & Next Steps
Project Kick-off & First Steps
During the first months of implementation, the MINEART partnership focused on building a strong common vision and establishing the foundations of the project. Partners from different European countries collaborated closely to align objectives, define roles, and agree on pedagogical and technical approaches. Initial coordination meetings allowed the consortium to set a shared roadmap, ensuring that educational quality, inclusiveness, and innovation would guide all project activities.
From Research to Design
A key milestone of this phase was the research and conceptual design of the MINEART educational framework. Partners explored current challenges in art education, the role of digital tools and game-based learning, and ways to integrate European cultural heritage into primary education. This work laid the groundwork for the development of the Knowledge Portal, the Interactive Map, and the Minecraft educational environment.
Looking Ahead
The first phase concluded with a clear vision for the project's digital outputs and learning resources. The next period will focus on turning ideas into tangible tools that teachers and students can use in real classroom settings.
